[Photo]: What travelers do when not traveling

push pin travel map

We throw ourselves in anything travel related to keep the high going… I recently made myself a GIGANTIC push pin travel board (because the ones that were selling online weren’t large or majestic enough).

Honestly, I can spend hours just staring at this map, imagining where I’d want to head to next. Since I don’t really collect souvenirs while traveling, this makes up for it a bit… right?

Do any of you have a way to keep track of where you’ve been?

Haha! I love that majestic map. I just go through my Google photo albums and try to remember how cool I used to be.

Thanks ;) I do that with my old photos too! But I’m always like “dang, what happened to me?” hahaha :p

This is so true, we always have the next project at the very least on the go. We have the plane tickets booked to arrive in Paris and leave from London for August and September and are starting to nut out some details. We know we are going to Japan in January and then onto Europe for a month. I have the one after that in my head also – Chile. It is what all of my travel friends live and breathe

I love that you do that! I would… but I always need to come back to a home base somewhere to rebuild my finances/reconnect with some family. I’ve been wanting to head south of the equator for a long time now… like Brazil or Peru! I think that’s next on the list for me :)

I’ve thought so many times of putting up a giant map on a wall somewhere in my house. My grandparents in Nebraska have one, with pins marking all the places they have traveled. I guess that’s where I get my travel bug gene from. :)

You should do it! It’s awesome zooming out and seeing all the places you’ve been. I’ve come to realize that a lot of my trips were with my family… which is where my bug came from :p

Yes – I feel like all I do when I am not traveling, is looking at a map planning my next trip. So many places to see!

I try to buy shot glasses everywhere I go, or have other people buy them for me when they travel. but I agree, I could stare at a world map for hours (I’ve actually done that before) it never gets old!

Haha I used to do that, especially as souvenirs for friends!
