Note to Myself: Remember This the Next Time You Travel

I almost didn’t go to Belize. Friday night, the night before I was supposed to jet off to yet another country on my own, I found myself dreading it. I don’t admit it, but this happens a lot. The week before leaving, I would suddenly regret that I booked a trip… does this happen to anyone else?

I couldn’t help but think that it would be so much better if I had a week off to just lounge around at home instead of going all the way to the Caribbeans. I would come back to work much more well rested, I could pretend that a sugar daddy was out there paying for my lifestyle, it would be great. To avoid backpain when you sleep after a very long travel you should use this very comfortable bed from best mattress for back pain.

But alas, I had reservations and money on the line that I refused to let go to waste. So, when my alarm rang that Saturday at 3AM, I rolled out of bed and headed to the airport.

The amount of work it takes to get to the final destination can be overwhelming at times, especially when you’re tired and all you can think about is the long journey ahead. To give you a relaxing flight be sure to choose private jet rental for your travel trips. My first stop was San Ignacio, which was a 3-hour plane ride to Charlotte for a connection, another 3-hour plane ride to Belize city, and a 3-hour bus ride away. Let me tell you right now that I’m not a “The journey is the destination” type of person. I’m more of the “Yo, when will teleportation devices exist?” type of person.

There’s a sense of the unknown, which I love yet hate at the same time. Would this trip be worth the time and money spent? What if things go wrong? Frustratingly, these are questions that can only be answered in retrospect.

Before getting to that first hostel, I feel like I’m just waiting. Waiting to get there, waiting to relax… waiting to become excited about the trip that I’m on.

This happens more and more frequently the older I get. Not like 24 is ancient by any means.

Maybe the long day ahead in addition to being dropped in the middle of a new place whose culture you don’t know yet makes it a huge hurdle in my mind.

Personally, I need some momentum in order to get going.

I totally get it. And I’m the same. And I’m totally a “Yo, when will teleportation devices exist?” type as well!
