HIATUS: Gone Adventuring

Ah, that’s always the downfall of a poorly-planned life/travel blog: travel and life always gets in the way. And so this announcement.

I will be traveling for the next month… ish. Expect frequent Instagram updates (read: close-to-daily), less frequent Twitter updates, and if everything goes well, no blog updates!

Traveling to…

  • M’Hamid, Morocco
  • Ouarzazate, Morocco
  • Marrakech, Morocco
  • Istanbul, Turkey
  • Cappadoccia, Turkey
  • Santorini, Greece
  • Ireland (not yet planned)
  • Scotland (not yet planned)
  • England (not yet planned)

My main outlet will be photos, for obvious reasons.

Anyways, I will say one thing: the past few days I’ve spent in M’Hamid have been the happiest I’ve ever been! I realize now that I get my kicks off adventuring and the barely-planned trips. If I had the balls to just buy tickets by the seat of my pants, I would’ve gladly spent another two weeks in the desert. But, I have to move on knowing that I will leave a HUGE part of myself here.

No matter what, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in Turkey and Greece. Maybe I’ll fall in love just as deeply there. Maybe all this is just an exercise to prove that it keeps getting better and better. Maybe I’ll cut my trip to the UK/Ireland short in order to chase other MORE adventures. Maybe, maybe, maybe.

Oh, and if anyone has a friend in Dublin… I’d greatly appreciate being housed for St. Paddy’s weekend. Pretty please?

They’re the most haphazard and randomly planned places ever… but I figured I should knock down my top priorities while I can :)

Wow, this sounds like the best trip ever! All of your destinations are places that I’m dying to visit and I obviously love England & Scotland! Let me know if you have questions about any of the two when the time comes! :) I also love seeing your pictures on Instagram! By the way, I feel like I’ve been the same as you lately – not really blogging or being active on Social Media (except for Instagram, of course!), but just focusing on travel! If it wasn’t for hosting Travel Tuesday, I’d never get anything done on my blog! ;) Have a great time! I know you’ll love it!

Haha thanks! Oh my god, Melanie… you MUST MUST MUST go to Morocco! And I’d LOVE advice about favorite spots for England and Scotland… so far I’ve done NO planning whatsoever for either! Seriously, my blog is taking a HUGE hit being so down… but I want to be able to enjoy my travels while traveling… blogging is to get me through the times I’m not :)

I totally understand! You can always blog about your adventures later when you have less time to travel and need something to feed your wanderlust! :)
