If it weren’t for the paella, I would’ve forgotten we had four days in Barcelona. One of the guys that worked the front desk at the hostel recommended this one place for paella.

We know this place was authentic when we took a road a while away from the nearest metro stop to find another smaller road. The owner was also the chef and the waiter and he couldn’t speak a lick of English.

Barcelona is most famous for its seafood, so it made sense to order the seafood paella. And it was delicious. The seafood was extremely fresh—and GIGANTIC.

She repeats it again until one of us realize that she mean it was on the house because we came as a recommendation from our hostel.

Mmmmm this looks like some amazing paella! I’ve never had paella IN Barcelona so that’s added to my to do list. Thanks for the tip :)

It was SO. GOOD. Unlike the sometimes crunchy paella you get at stores that have it pre-made, the rice in this was fluffy and perfect! You need to get some!
