November to me was a transitional month.
It was one where I returned home from yet another road trip and buckled down in many ways. From what I said last month, I really wanted to focus on my fitness and financials—the 2 F’s, if you will.
I worked on my fitness
Being on the road for the first 2 weeks of November made it a bit difficult for me to work on fitness. In some ways, I went completely in the opposite direction and ate my way to Dallas. In other ways, I made improvements in my mindset on how I want to approach this for the next few months.
I went from not being able to run 10 minutes without feeling like dying to running 2 miles almost comfortably yesterday as my “long run.” This makes me think of my high school days when I would run 2 miles daily and have 5 mile long-run days.
All-in-all, I’ve lost 4 pounds since mid-November!
I worked… period
With my financials, I landed a temp assignment in the city, which taught me a lot about the commuter life and trying to balance everything I wanted to do with the little hours I had left in the day after work. I also dabbled in being an Uber driver.
Right now, I’m trying to decide what direction I want to go in regarding my professional life. The problem isn’t that I don’t have options, the problem is that there are two clear paths and that the choice is up to me. Scary, how adult life is sometimes, isn’t it?
I rearranged my room
In other news, I rearranged my room and now it’s so cozy that I never want to leave it! Photos coming soon once I get all the trash out of the way.
I did not date
Ok, so I royally dropped the ball on this one. Oops!
On the blog
I’ve decided that my goals need to be more specific.
- lose 5-6 pounds
- increase mileage to 3 miles
- save $1000
- read 4 books
- rebrand the blog!
- be more involved in the blog community—sorry I haven’t been recently!
What are your goals this December?
